Parent Permission and Release:
I give permission for my child to enter the The Climate Champions Youth Art Contest. I confirm that my child and I have complied with the official rules. We understand the artwork must be submitted in digital form and the artwork and explanation should illustrate the contest theme: What Climate Change Means to Me.
I agree that the artwork, upon submission, shall become the property of Eakin Films & Publishing (“Eakin”), which is the company organizing the publication of the artwork on social media and other venues, and providing artwork to media outlets. The copyright and all other rights, title, and interest in the artwork shall be owned by Eakin, which agrees to not sell the artwork. I agree that Eakin and any successors, licensees and assignees shall have the non-exclusive and perpetual right, but not the obligation to use my child’s name, photograph (if provided), voice, likeness and similar characteristics of his/her identity for advertising, publicity, promotion and other related purposes in connection with the submitted artwork, both during and after the contest. I agree to cooperate with Eakin by providing appropriate biographical information, as reasonably requested. I agree that Eakin may decide in its sole discretion if an artwork shall be excluded from the competition due to concerns about intellectual property violations or other considerations related to the contest rules.
I agree that Eakin Films & Publishing, and the contest’s sponsors, workers, contractors, affiliates, judges, libraries, media outlets and others providing assistance (collectively, “Contest Helpers”), shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, claims, demands, actions or causes of actions whatsoever which may arise out of or relate to the contest, including without limitation, claims related to my child winning, not being selected, and receipt or non-receipt of or use of any prize, and I agree to forever release, discharge, indemnify, hold harmless and defend Contest Helpers for any such liabilities.
