Electric companies that are at least 10-years old have survived a decade or more of regulatory review, commodity risks and intense competition. Years in business is an indicator of quality and stability, and we generally select energy providers that have been in business a minimum of 10 years. The only exceptions are younger companies with highly experienced, innovative, professional management teams, which have significant financing.
