Frank is an award-winning, nationally recognized energy industry expert, with a long and successful career in electricity and digital publishing. His has built industry-leading startups by developing first-to-market innovations combined with an obsession with quality and customer service. In 2011, he founded Electricity Club, which operated Home Energy Club and other energy platforms until its acquisition by Home Solutions in 2024.
Frank was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Award for the Energy Industry in 1999, and is a member of the E&Y Hall of Fame. For Home Energy Club, he developed a solution for customers seeking to answer their primary question when using an electricity comparison site — namely, “which is the best energy plan specifically for my home”? His TrustPlan process to vet electricity plans helps customers to cut electricity bill surprises and find the plan which delivers the lowest annual cost for their home.
As a business leader passionate about the environment, Frank provided expertise to the market regarding the production of electricity from natural gas which is stranded at oilfield sites and historically burned into the atmosphere, producing massive emissions of methane. To promote the use of renewable energy and engage young people in what will become the most critical issue of their generation, climate change, Frank and his son launched the Climate Champions Youth Art Contest. Early in his career, Frank patented an invention to solve wastewater problems in the energy industry, providing competitors free use of his invention to help maintain cleaner waterways.
