The Organization Collecting Information at This Website
The mission of Electricity Club is to provide web-based platforms that help consumers to access energy offers, merchandise and services for their homes and businesses, and to conveniently enroll in energy plans. Designed from industry experience and built from the ground up, our Home Energy Club site (“Site”) provides discount energy offers from established energy providers in an innovative format, which allows our website visitors to use savings they potentially gain from discount energy rate offers on the site, to purchase merchandise and services for their homes.

No Registration
You do not need to register or provide information to view the Site. Also, ECLUB does not charge a fee to consumers to use the Site. The retail electricity providers (“Providers”) and retail merchants on the Site (“Merchants”) pay us a fee, which allows us to give you free access to our platform.
Providers, Merchants and Organizations Receiving your Information
We obtain information that visitors submit on our site. The information may include your contact information (name, email, phone number), home or business address, and other details that you may submit to enroll in an energy plan, make a purchase or request information.
When you submit information during the enrollment process for an energy plan on the Site, your data is normally transmitted in real time to the retail electricity provider (“Provider”) whose energy plan you have selected. This data will be used to enroll you in the Provider’s plan, and the data you enter will be stored in their systems. However, while our ECLUB system will pass enrollment data to your selected energy provider and we may store certain non-sensitive information (such as your contact information), ECLUB will not store your sensitive data, such as your social security number, driver’s license number or credit card information. Information submitted during the enrollment process through the Site is the property of both ECLUB and the Provider. The Provider is responsible for the content of all communications they send to their customers and business dealings with their customers.
When you submit information as part of a form fill request on the Site, your information will be sent to the Merchant to which you are requesting information, and sometimes to other entities related to the Merchant’s offer, which may include organizations (“Organizations”) in which you have a direct or indirect relationship.
Information provided to us on the Site will be retained and used solely for the purposes of fulfilling your energy enrollment, fulfilling your request for information, facilitating a purchase, performing and carrying out the Terms of Service, performing or improving our service, developing a new service or communicating with you as a user of ECLUB’S Site and services.
Aggregation of Information
From time to time, we may collect general, non-identifiable personal, statistical information about the use of ECLUB’s Sites, such as how many visitors visit a specific page on the Sites, how long they stay on that page, and which hyperlinks, if any, they “click” on. We collect this information through the use of technologies such as “cookies” and “IP addresses”, which are discussed in greater detail below. We may also group this information into aggregate visitor data in order to describe the use of the Sites and services to our existing or potential business partners or other third parties (such as Google Analytics), or in response to a government request. However, please be assured that this aggregate data will not be used by us in a way to personally identify you, other list members or any other visitors to the Sites.
We may store your information on a third party server (for example, your contact information may be stored on Salesforce), and we may use a third party analytics tool to learn how you are using our Sites.
In cases where you use a mobile device to access our Sites, we may receive information about the location of your device. In some cases, even if you are not using a mobile device, information about your general location may be discernable from your device’s IP address or the URLs we receive.
Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags and scripts may be used by ECLUB and our marketing partners, affiliates, and service providers. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.
We use cookies to remember users’ settings (e.g., language preference), tracking for marketing purposes, and for authentication. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our Site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our Site may be limited.
Log Files
As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we collect about you.
GPS/Location Services
ECLUB may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to help us in studying the geographic areas where users access the Site. At any time, you can disable location services on your personal device (generally in your device’s “account settings”), and we will no longer have access to your location information. Please see your device or OS manual for ways to disable location services.
Mobile Analytics
We may use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of mobile software we may develop and use. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. We do not link this information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application.
Retention of Personal Information
We do not share your personal identifiable profile with unapproved third parties. To the extent we are legally permitted to do so, we will take reasonable steps to notify you in the event that we are required to provide your personal information to third parties as part of a legal process, unless prohibited by court order or law enforcement request. We may retain information (e.g., name, email, phone) associated with a user’s account after the user no longer uses our Site, in order to contact the user about future use, resolve disputes or enforce agreements; however, we will make a good faith effort to delete the data if you contact us at the email below, provided that ECLUB is not required to retain your information by law, or for legitimate business purposes dictated by Providers, Merchants or Organizations with whom you have transacted business on the Site.
We may decline to process requests that are unreasonable, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Agents and Third Party Service Providers
To provide the Site’s service to you, we may sometimes use other approved third party businesses or affiliates to perform certain specialized services such as, for example, data processing, analytics, email management, and messaging. We may receive information about you from sources such as Merchants, Organizations, legitimately available databases, or otherwise. We may add this information to the information we have already collected from you in order to improve the services we provide to you. The information you submit to us that is collected and stored by ECLUB, such as your email address, may be input into electronic platforms (e.g., MailChimp and Salesforce) so that we may efficiently manage data, and service and communicate with you.
Legal Compliance
As we stated, ECLUB values our relationships and we are committed to respecting and protecting your information. ECLUB can, however, disclose your information for legal or regulatory reasons, including in response to subpoenas and court orders. ECLUB can also use your information to investigate fraud, and to prevent violation of its Terms of Service and unlawful use of our Sites, platforms and services.
Also, ECLUB reserves the right to disclose customer information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) ECLUB’S rights or property, or the rights or property of Providers, Merchants and Organizations, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. ECLUB also reserves the right to disclose visitor or customer information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
Energy Rate Requests and Promotions
We will follow up on your form fill requests on the Site to provide you with energy rate information. We may also provide you the opportunity to opt-in to special promotional offer communications sent by email. If you have requested offer information in a form fill, or you opted in or have otherwise qualified to receive these offer communications, we will use your name and email address to communicate with you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you with a way to unsubscribe by following the instructions included in each communication.
Security and Information Protection
The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our Site, that information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. Please do not disclose your sensitive information to unauthorized people.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Firewalls
Protecting the security of your personal information is very important to us. When we store information that you have entered into the Site, that information is protected by security measures that include “firewalls” (a combination of computer hardware and software that helps keep unauthorized visitors from accessing information within our computer network), “intrusion detection systems” (a combination of computer hardware and software that helps detect any unauthorized visitors) and other tools such as data encryption and physical security, where appropriate. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data repository can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while Company strives to protect your personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us online and cannot be responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your personal information.

Please be aware that when you are on the Site, or when you receive an email message from us, you could be directed to other sites that are beyond our control. There may be links to other sites from the Site’s pages or from email messages we send to you that take you outside our Site. We display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our websites in addition to other endorsements. With your consent we may post your testimonial along with your name. Data Transmittal
You should always read a plan’s EFL details to decide if it’s a fit for you, but our system does the tedious math to help you compare estimated costs. Of course, your future bill amounts will depend on your future usage.
You will find a widget on Home Energy Club which fetches your home’s energy usage data from Smart Meter Texas (SMT) and runs calculations of the rate structures of energy plans to help you conveniently estimate the cost of energy plans you are considering, based on your prior 12 months of energy usage as reported by SMT.
In one of the text panels of the widget, you will see an authorization button. By checking the permission box above the fields in which you enter your name and email address, and clicking on the authorization button, you are authorizing Smart Meter Texas to provide us with your location’s energy usage information so that our system can run cost calculations. It’s important to note that errors can occur when developing and running calculations, and the Company does not guarantee that its cost numbers are correct. You should always read the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) for each energy plan you are considering before enrolling, and make an independent decision on whether the plan is an appropriate fit for your home based on your own calculations and all the information disclosed by energy providers in the EFL.
Privacy Policy for Minors
We do not knowingly collect information from minors on the Site. If you are under the age of 18, please do not provide any information to us. If we receive a valid notification that we have collected information from a person under the age of 18, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.

The terms of this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We encourage you to check this page periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the Site will mean you accept those changes.
