About Snyder

Snyder, Texas, is the county seat of Scurry County and currently has a population of around 11,200. It was founded on Deep Creek, a minor tributary of the Colorado River that runs through Texas. It’s a town located in the lower part of the Southwestern Tablelands region and is named after merchant and buffalo hunter William Henry Snyder, who built a nearby trading post in 1878.
