Renewable Energy Plans

Energy Texas offers renewable energy plans to lower your carbon footprint.

Their green energy plans are sourced from environmentally-friendly generators of electricity which mostly use wind turbines and solar panels.

This means you can reduce your CO2 emissions with a green energy plan without having to install costly solar panels. See their clean energy plans.

While they aren’t the cheapest, their prices are relatively affordable compared to other clean energy providers with straightforward fixed rates.

36 Inflation Fix

Their most popular plan is the Inflation Fix, which provides price protection for 36 months. It’s designed for inflation protection that’s long term.

Key features include:

  • Affordable fixed rates
  • Rangler rewards
  • Base charges
  • Transmission & Distribution Utility (TDU) fees

Come & Take It 12

Customers looking for a shorter term may consider the Come & Take It, which comes with a12-month contract and price-protected rates.

Key features include:

  • Fixed rates
  • Base charges
  • TDU fees
  • Rangler rewards

Other plans include Gruene 18 and the Bigger Than Texas 24.

All of these plans are “Giddy Up Guaranteed” and feature an Early Termination Fee, or ETF.

If you’re looking for a plan with less commitment, they offer their Energy Texas Monthly, a flexible month-to-month plan with variable rates.

Note that because the rate varies, you may end up paying a far higher rate than advertised, causing an energy bill surprise.

For the most predictable bills, we recommend fixed-rate, price-protected plans.

Other Products & Services

Energy Texas also offers a range of additional non-energy services and goods, specifically their Rangler Rewards program.

This program allows customers to earn credit and possibly win rewards by doing the following:

  • Making bill payments on time
  • Enrollment in autopay
  • Switching to paperless billing
  • Enrolling in their Peak Perks Program

Rewards include gift cards to Texas-owned businesses, vacations to Texas destinations, and tickets to sports games.

Some rewards also include a “free month of electricity” in the form of bill credits for up to $150.

Find more about their rewards program.

Peak Perks

Their Peak Perks program helps Texans conserve energy and save money.

It promotes energy conservation by encouraging members to reduce their usage during hours of increased demand. They’ll notify you of a “Peak Event” so you can save energy.

According to their website, if you use 10% less energy during a peak weather event, they’ll take 10% off your energy charge. In short, by saving energy, you can save some coin, too. It’s energy efficiency made easy.
