Cirro Energy Electric Plans and Rates
Cirro Energy offers Trust Plan-vetted plans to make the selection process simple and convenient. Most Cirro Energy plans produce predictable electric bills with straightforward fixed rates for the duration of your contract.
The light company offers no deposit plans for customers who pass their credit requirements.
Cirro also offers time-of-use plans, such as the Smart Nights plan, which offers a lower energy rate during specified hours.
Smart Lock Saver 12, 24, and 36
Cirro’s Smart Lock Saver plans are straightforward fixed-rate plans. With price-protected terms from 12 to 36 months, these plans are price straighforward and designed to help you avoid bill surprises.
On top of their competitive rates per kWh, you’ll also see base charges, including a $9.95/month usage fee and government-regulated TDU (or TDSP) transmission charges. TDU fees are passed through without any markup.
Note that these plans have Early Termination Fees (ETF). The 12-month plan features a $150 ETF, the 24-month plan a $295 ETF, and the 36-month plan has a $395 ETF.
Smart Flex Monthly
Cirro also offers a variable rate plan called Smart Flex Monthly, a month-to-month variable energy plan. This pay-as-you-go plan provides no-deposit electricity with no contract and no Early Termination Fee (ETF).
Designed for more flexibility, call to enroll in this plan if you want:
- No deposit
- No cancellation fees
- Month to month rates
- Zero contract
Like their Smart Lock plans, the Smart Flex plan includes a base usage charge of $9.95/month, as well as government-regulated TDU transmission charges with zero markup.
Note that variable-rate energy plans can cause bill surprises if the rates suddenly spike due to increased demand or the commodity cost of gas. To avoid bill surprises, we recommend fixed-rate energy plans.

Switching, Moving In, Moving Out, and Cancellation Fees
Before switching, transferring or canceling your Cirro energy plan, review all your options. We recommend starting by reading your Electricity Facts Label (EFL).
Choose the right plan using the EFL
Knowing how to read the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) is a critical component for successfully starting, stopping, or moving your energy service. The EFL will help you match your home usage with plans you’re considering by providing an apples-to-apples comparison of energy pricing.
Be sure to check out our Guide for Smart Meters to review your home’s actual kWh usage. Then, visit Smart Meter Texas to see your monthly energy usage.
Transferring your plan
If you’re transferring your existing Cirro energy service to a new location, you can submit your request online. Simply provide the company with your new address and a moving date for a smooth transfer. Be sure to contact them at least 30 days in advance to avoid delays or issues.
Canceling your service
If you’re canceling your service with Cirro, be aware of any Early Termination Fees (ETFs). You’ll find the ETF amount listed on your EFL, with common fees ranging from $150 to $395.
When canceling, you can review plans and rates from other electricity providers by entering your zip code and home size on our homepage.
Report a Power Outage
If you have a Cirro power outage, contact the Transmission & Distribution Utility (TDU or TDSP) in your area.
Cirro is a retail electricity provider (REP), meaning they purchase electricity from generators and resell that power to the consumer. The utility company that transmits electricity to your home is responsible for service repairs.
