Switching, Moving, and Cancellation Fees
Before moving, switching, or canceling your electricity service, be sure to review your energy options.
Your EFL is the key
We recommend that you carefully read the Texas Electricity Facts Label (EFL) for any plan you’re considering. The EFL helps you compare electricity plans to make sure you get a plan that’s right for your home based on your monthly usage.
Another good idea is to get your precise home energy usage conveniently at Smart Meter Texas. Read our Smart Meter Guide to learn more.
Transferring energy service
To transfer your Flagship plan to your new home, notify the light company of your new address. If it’s in a deregulated service area, you can transfer your plan. For best results, notify the company at least 30 days in advance.
How to cancel my energy plan?
You can cancel your Texas electricity service any time on their website or by calling customer service.
Note that you’ll be responsible for paying an Early Termination Fee (ETF) if you cancel before your contract ends. This light company charges an ETF of $20 per month left in your contract.
Report a Power Outage
If you have a power outage, contact the Transmission Distribution Utility (TDU) in your service area. Don’t call Flagship, as they do not correct outages.
