This electricity supplier also has free energy plans, also known as time-of-use energy plans. They offer $0 rates on either nights or weekends, and charge a slightly higher rate during paid periods.

Switching, Moving, and Cancellation Charges
When you’re moving to a new home, it’s crucial to choose an energy plan that suits your new location.

The EFL provides an apples-to-apples comparison of plans and their rate structures across set usage levels: 500 kWh for apartments, 1,000 kWH for mid-size homes, and 2,000 kWh for large homes.

Transferring your energy plans
Moving to another deregulated part of the Lone Star State? You can seamlessly transfer your PowerNext plan to your new residence.
Just inform the company of your new address at least 30 days before your move. This ensures uninterrupted power supply during your move.
How do I cancel my electricity plan?
You can easily cancel your plan online or over the phone. If you’re canceling to enroll in a new plan, all you have to do is select your provider, pick the plan, and enroll online. They’ll handle canceling your old service and starting your new one.
Like most electric companies, PowerNext does charge an Early Termination Fee, or ETF, when you cancel your fixed-rate plan before the contract is over. Be sure to check your plan’s EFL to determine its exact cancellation fee.
Typically, their fees are $20 per month left in your contract.
