100% Green Plans

Price-protected rates: Almost all of their plans have fixed rates that are locked in until the end of the contract term. Contract lengths usually range from month-to-month to 12, 24, and 36 months.
Pricing: They may not be the cheapest electric company, but their rates are competitive, plus they they’re a highly trusted brand and part of the NRG family of light companies.
City rates: Review Green Mountain Energy Houston rates and Dallas rates, and also the rates for over 100 Texas cities.
Here’s a selection of plans:
Pollution Free All Nighter

Pollution Free e-Plus Month to Month
This is a month-to-month flex plan with a variable rate. This type of plan featuring rates which are not fixed can be useful for certain customers, but be cautious because variable rates are more likely to produce bill surprises. For this reason, we don’t display them. Call an operator for help.
Go Local Solar
Energy for this plan is sourced from Texas solar facilities according to the EFL. It’s a straightforward plan. Ask their operator for available term lengths.
Renewable Rewards
Earn credits for excess solar energy produced by your home’s solar panels. Learn more about solar buyback plans.
Renewable Energy Credits (RECs)
By purchasing a 100% green plan, you don’t need to install expensive solar panels on your home.
With the enrollment in a Green Mountain electricity plan, you support cleaner energy by matching your annual paid energy usage with an equivalent quantity of power produced by renewable sources of electric generation in the US.
The company purchases and retires renewable energy certificates (RECs) representing the environmental attributes associated with green energy generation for your paid usage. Customers don’t receive power from a specific generation facility under REC programs.
