Cheap Rates Statewide

Gexa’s cheap energy rates are competitive in all areas of the Texas. You can review their Houston and Dallas rates, or check rates for other major cities by entering your zip code on this page. Or you can find your location in our expansive Cities list to shop for electricity plans near you.

Price-Protected Fixed Rates

Given the extreme weather events Texas has been experiencing, which create peak energy demand periods that drive up rates, it’s more important than ever to enroll in fixed-rate plans rather than take the risk of receiving a huge bill surprise caused by a variable-rate plan.

We only offer Gexa’s fixed-rate plans. Except in special circumstances, we highly recommend that you enroll in a fixed-rate plan to gain price protection and peace of mind, and stay away from floating rates that can soar during extreme weather.

Gexa has a range of popular fixed-rate plans, such as:

While fixed-rate plans typically offer more predictable energy bills, Gexa also offers a variable-rate plan, the Flex plan.

Bill Credit Plans

Many of Gexa Energy’s electricity plans include bill credits. They can effectively give you a bit of free electricity, but these plans are usually not suited for all usage levels. Be sure to review the Electricity Facts Label (EFL) for each plan to confirm that it’s a good match for your home, based on your monthly energy usage levels.

As a customer, you’ll have 24/7 access to your electricity account. Simply enter your login info and access online account management tools for you to make payments, and you can set up automatic payments, pay your bills online or level out your bills with budget billing.

Gexa Energy Reviews and Ratings

We have collected Gexa Energy Reviews from independent review sites, the State of Texas Public Utility Commission Complaints Statistics and other review sources.

We combine this information with customer survey data, results from “secret shopper” calls, customer experience information, and our opinion of the electric company’s policies and plans to determine a Home Energy Club (HEC) rating.

HEC Gexa Energy Rating: 4.5/5

Customer Ratings

Gexa has relatively high scores on the reviewed categories, and a score of over 4.5 in four of the five categories.

Customer Reviews

To see more customer review information, please visit our Gexa Energy Reviews page.

It’s important to note that generally, electric company customers who post reviews about their provider’s service do so because they’ve had a negative experience.

Renewable Energy Plans

Gexa’s 100% “green” plans often have lower rates than many fossil-sourced plans marketed by competitors. They demonstrate their care for the future of the planet by not marketing fossil-sourced energy.
